Once inside the paintball field, paintball rules are everything. Strictly follow paintball rules not only make the game fun but also safety to players. There are variety of rules and variations, some are basic and some are specified by players, country, region and society. The most basic game rule is that players must try to accomplish a mission without being shot by paintballs. When the player was shot, and the ball break with leave paint mark at any part of player body, the player considered “dead”. This player need to raise his marker to indicate he is out, then leave the paintball field.

Game mission are very vary. It include capture the flag, elimination, defending base or attacking base.

Capture the flag – both team will try to capture the flag from opposite team which locate at the base and bring it to own base. The game also end when all of the players from other side was eliminated.

Elimination – rules are simple, eliminate all opponent players.

Defending base and attacking base – one side of the players giving a strong base, another side of players try to attack and conquer the base.

Before discuss about Game rules, it is important to understand the different between woodsball, speedball and scenarioball.

Woodsball – paintball field include natural environment and involve large area.

Speedball – paintball field is relatively small, and has a fast pace. The game will end very fast because it is more easy to hit the target and hard to hide compare to woodsball.

Scenarioball – players will try to recreate historical or frictional setting, such as star war, world war, rescue hostage, and etc.
