Paintball Game Rules must be enforce. Regulated games are watch by referees, who patrol the course to ensure the rules was followed and the safety of the players. If he notice player is marked with paint, he will call player out. Enforcement of the Game rules is to ensure safety, balance, and fairness of the game, also eliminate cheating.
Basic rules :
Mask on – who ever step inside the field, must wear mask at all course all time until he/she leave the field. No players or referees are allow to enter the field without mask, and also no allow to take out the mask inside the field.
Minimum distance – it is vary country by country. Normally is 15feet or 7.6m. Some country do not have this rules, because it cause disadvantage to the shooting player.
Hits – a players was consider hit if leave a solid paint mark at anywhere on the player’s body or equipments. Even the paintball was hitting the player, if the paintball did not break and leave a paint mark, the player still consider as “alive”.
Overshooting – paintball discourage players from overshooting another player. Overshooting mean continue and repeatedly shoot a player even after he is eliminated from the game.
Ramping – Mostly it refer to electronic markers. The markers are firing faster than the trigger is being pulled. It cause unfairness to other players. It only allow under specific conditions.
Wiping – Players wipe the paint mark and try to cheat the referees and other players by pretend they are not hit and continue stay in the game.
