Laksa

Here come the confuse question, what is laksa? what is Asam laksa? Are they same?

Funny, northern Malaysia citizen will tell you they are same, but Selangor or southern Malaysia people will say they are different, more confuse in state of Kelantan and Terengganu, because they have more variety of “laksa”.

Asam Laksa or A.K.A “Laksa” was origin from Thailand and modified by northern Malaysia citizen long time ago.

The laksa soup is make by fish, Asam, and what we call laksa leaf. The “mee” also quit unique, it is make by rice. Basically, a complete set of laksa is the “rice mee”+ “variety of vegetable”+ “Laksa soup”.

Why Laksa so unique? Of cause it is delicious, a bit of salty and spicy taste, heavy taste of fish, and combination of vegetable create fresh taste favor. The best Laksa is inside Pulau Penang, near Ayer Hitam. Even so, there is still few place also produce good and delicious laksa. For example: The Laksa stall near “second street”, Sungai Petani town, Kedah.
