In 1st version generation in ipad. if we would like to lock screen rotation, we have to lock screen rotation in ipad setting. but in iPad 2, we can easy to lock screen rotation with just one button at side on bottom iPad 2. You also can Customize the switch on the side of your iPad to lock the screen rotation or mute the volume. So you can lock your iPad display in landscape or portrait. Or quickly go from volume on to volume off. Just configure the side switch in Settings to toggle between your options.
