Football or soccer, as described by the name, is a game played by using foot and with the objective to score a goal. It is a game played between 2 teams, which consist of 11 players each. The dimension for adult matches pitch is in the range of 100-110m in length and 64-75m in width. Starting from 2008, IFAB (International Football Association Board) fixed a standard size for standard pitch, which is 105m X 68m.

There are many sources describe about the origin of football. In some ancient records, it was shown that Ancient Greeks and Romans play ball using feet. On the other hand, in China, there are some documented evidences show that the Chinese play ball with feet as well, which is called cuju that time. This game was then spread to Japan and Korea and was known as Kemari and Chuk-guk respectively. However, the modern football played today is said to be originated from England.

The competitions for soccer are divided into 2 types, which are international and domestic. The major and most well-known international competition is World Cup organized by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association, or in English, International Federation of Association Football).  As for domestic competition, there are five top European league, which are the Premier League (England), La Liga (Spain), Serie A (Italy), the Bundesliga (Germany) and Ligue 1 (France). However, frankly, most people only know World Cup and Premier League.
